1 ct Emerald and Baguette Diamond Italian ring

Italian chic and sophistication. Natural Emerald in oval facetted cut (approximately 1 ct) with a deep sea green colour, surrounded by 10 scaled baguette diamonds.
The ring is made of 18 K yellow gold. A clear high quality Emerald with characteristic emerald inclusions (French: Jardin). Emeralds have been valued in the jewellery since the antiquity.
They were believed to have a protective power for the person who wears them (which doubled when they were surrounded by Diamonds).
Emeralds are the stones of love (an attribute of the goddess Venus), an amulet of health and strength (attributed to Isis, the mother of the gods).
Prince Albert proposed to Queen Victoria by offering her now famous ring in the shape of a snake with Emerald. Elizabeth Taylor had one of the largest private collections of emerald jewellery in the world, given to her as a token of love by her husband Richard Burton.
